This year, 103 thousand children will be involved in health improvement and summer holidays in our region.
26.05.2026 19:00:36 88Today, under the chairmanship of regional Akim Kumar Aksakalov, a meeting of the regional akimat was held, dedicated to the completion of the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as the organization of children's summer recreation, leisure, and employment during the holidays.
Organizing summer recreation and employment for schoolchildren is an important task. This year, health improvement, recreation, and labor employment programs will cover about 103 thousand children (98.5%). For these purposes, 457 million tenge has been allocated, which is 1.8 times more compared to 2022.
"This growth was achieved thanks to the opening of two out-of-town camps, as well as an increase in the coverage of children with summer recreation from 74% to 98.5%. In 55% of school-based camps, free meals will be organized. This summer, 12 out-of-town and 617 school-based camps will operate. First and foremost, it is necessary to ensure full and high-quality recreation for children from socially vulnerable categories," noted Kumar Aksakalov.
This year, 300 million tenge has been allocated for the health improvement of children from socially vulnerable categories, as well as gifted children, which is 33.3% more compared to 2022.
"At my instruction, work is underway to attract investors for the restoration of abandoned camps. This year, in the Mendykarinsky district, the 'Allur' plant will begin the restoration of the former 'Solnechny' camp. Here, the enterprise's employees will be able to relax with their families. In the future, the company plans to open a year-round commercial camp for children. Such work needs to be carried out in all cities and districts," noted the regional akim.
All summer recreation facilities must comply with sanitary and fire safety requirements. The programs of out-of-town and school-based camps should include sports, creative, and developmental activities, be meaningful and diverse.
"We have tested, within the framework of forums and various events, industrial tours to machine-building plants in the city of Kostanay. Currently, the issue of transferring these tours to tour operators is being considered. These tours must be included in the summer vacation plans. In the future, such events will help children with career guidance and choosing a profession. Children's summer recreation should be not only interesting but also safe," noted the head of the region.
