The 29th Fez Sacred Music Festival, held from June 4 to 7, 2026, brought together artists from 14 countries. The festival's organizer, the Spirit of Fez Foundation, dedicated this year's event to traditional crafts: "Fez: Guardians of Crafts and Heritage," with Germany serving as the guest of honor.

 

The opening ceremony was hosted by Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Economic Affairs Fatemeh-Zahra Amour and Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd. The gala concert at the opening ceremony concluded with a final performance by the Kazakh folklore and ethnographic ensemble «Kulansaz». On the second day, a concert by the «Kulansaz» ensemble amazed residents and visitors of Fez, demonstrating the richness of Kazakhstan's history and its undeniable artistic heritage.

 

The Fez Festival, recognized by the UN in 2001 as one of the most important events promoting dialogue among civilizations, is dedicated to the city of Fez, a place where memories and heritage, knowledge and crafts are preserved.
