Due to the high level of public interest in the operation of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in the capital, passenger safety at the stations is being ensured by servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. National Guardsmen help maintain public order, prevent overcrowding, and coordinate compliance with the rules governing the use of the light rail transit system.

The enhanced security measures have been introduced in response to the high passenger traffic and the significant interest of Astana residents in the new transportation facility.

Military personnel are on duty both inside the stations and in the surrounding areas. They assist citizens and help ensure the safe movement of passengers.

Their primary mission is to create a comfortable and secure environment for residents and visitors of the capital, as well as to prevent potential violations of public order.

Ensuring public safety and preventing emergencies remain top priorities. Security operations have been organized at all 17 stations on a two-shift basis. Particular attention is being paid to passenger flow management and maintaining a stable environment at the stations.

It is worth noting that the service is carried out in close cooperation with police officers, transport service representatives, and the facility’s administration.
