Budapest, 18 September 2026 – Ambassador-designate of Kazakhstan Anel Bakytbekkyzy held a meeting with Balázs Gellért, Managing Director and Co-owner of the Hungarian company Naturtex Kft.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding Naturtex’s activities in Kazakhstan and implementing joint investment projects with Kazakh and Hungarian partners.

Naturtex is a Hungarian family-owned company specializing in the processing of goose and duck down and feathers, as well as the production of home textiles. The company’s products are represented in international markets.

Naturtex has been sourcing down and feathers from Kazakhstan for several years. At the current stage, the company is interested in moving beyond trade cooperation towards deeper production cooperation directly in Kazakhstan.

In particular, Naturtex, together with potential Kazakh and Hungarian partners, is considering the establishment of a full production cycle in Kazakhstan in the waterfowl sector – from goose farming and the development of the relevant raw material base to meat processing, as well as the separate processing of down and feathers. In the longer term, the possibility of establishing the production of finished textile products in Kazakhstan is also being considered.

The development of such an integrated production chain would contribute to deeper processing of raw materials in Kazakhstan, increase the added value of locally produced goods and create a significant number of new jobs, including in rural areas.

The Ambassador-designate noted that such a comprehensive approach is in line with Kazakhstan’s priorities to promote deeper processing of agricultural products, attract modern technologies, develop industrial cooperation and expand the production of high value-added, export-oriented goods.

Particular attention was paid to further support for the initiative by NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC, including cooperation with potential partners, relevant government authorities, industry organizations and regional Akimats.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work on identifying the optimal model for implementing the project and advancing its practical development.
