A significant event for servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Astana — a ceremonial presentation of educational grants to conscript soldiers under the nationwide Srochnik 2.0 program.
This large-scale educational initiative is being implemented with state support and is aimed at assisting young people who have successfully completed their military service, while also enhancing the prestige of military service among the younger generation.
This year, National Guard servicemen were awarded more than 660 educational grants, including 14 certificates presented during the official ceremony. This is the highest result among all law enforcement and military agencies of the country. Notably, 60 percent of National Guard conscripts expressed interest in participating in the program, demonstrating a strong commitment among young servicemen to education and professional development.
The certificates were presented by Lieutenant General Ansagan Baltabekov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard. He emphasized that participation in the project provides young servicemen with real opportunities for the future.
“Every serviceman receiving a certificate today has earned this achievement through hard work, discipline, and a commitment to learning. In the future, these young people will become qualified professionals, highly sought-after specialists, and a reliable pillar of our state,” said A. Baltabekov.
Special attention was also given to post-service social support measures. Through cooperation between the Armed Forces, other military formations, and higher education institutions, program winners are granted the opportunity to study free of charge, receive scholarships, and obtain accommodation in student dormitories.
This year, nearly 4,000 conscripts serving in the law enforcement troops applied to participate in the program. The winners were selected from among the most distinguished servicemen, excelling in combat training, discipline, and the performance of special tasks. Educational grants were distributed based on the participants’ final ranking.
It is worth noting that more than 70 universities across Kazakhstan have signed memorandums to admit the program’s successful candidates.
The awarding of educational grants has become an important incentive that enhances the prestige of service in the law enforcement troops and creates real opportunities for the personal and professional development of the country’s young defenders.
