On the Day of State Symbols, a ceremonial event was held in the capital to present officer epaulettes to the top graduates of the country's higher military educational institutions. The epaulettes were presented by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Representing the Academy of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nyshanbek Galamat, Arystan Maultov, and Syrym Abzhapbar were awarded this high honor. In addition, graduate Diyar Burumbayev received his officer epaulettes from Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant General Yerzhan Sadenov.

Academy graduate Nyshanbek Galamat, who was awarded the military rank of Senior Lieutenant, emphasized the special significance of the occasion.

“We became the first graduates to receive the rank of Senior Lieutenant immediately upon graduation for outstanding academic performance. Receiving officer epaulettes from the President himself is an even greater honor. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Academy’s leadership, faculty members, and my commanders for their knowledge, support, and contribution to our development as officers,” said the young officer.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the young citizens who had chosen military service as their vocation and emphasized that their authority and honor would be defined by their impeccable service to the Motherland.

Today, National Guard servicemen ensure public safety and the security of citizens, making a significant contribution to strengthening law and order. Their service directly reflects the principle of “Law and Order,” identified by the Head of State as one of the key priorities for the country’s development.

It is worth noting that more than 140 cadets are graduating from the National Guard Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs this year. Among them, 16 graduates completed their studies with distinction. For the first time in the Academy’s history, these graduates are being awarded the military rank of Senior Lieutenant immediately upon graduation.
