The Akim of the region, Murat Ergeshbayev, met with representatives of "China State Construction Engineering Corporation". This is one of the world's leading construction and infrastructure companies.
The meeting discussed the region's investment potential, the effective use of opportunities in special economic and industrial zones, as well as the implementation of new production projects.
It is worth noting that the "Korkyt Ata" special economic zone was established in the region on an area of 550 hectares for the implementation of investment projects. Currently, 18 priority types of economic activity have been identified. In particular, there are areas such as the production of building materials, mechanical engineering, the production of electrical equipment, logistics and warehousing, the chemical industry, and the production of automotive and aviation equipment.
Furthermore, specific work is underway in the Kyzylorda region to develop industrial infrastructure. Today, there are 6 industrial zones in the region with a total area of over 515 hectares, where 37 projects worth 112 billion tenge have been launched, creating about a thousand new jobs. In the "Ondiris" industrial zone, projects for the production of building materials, glass, ceramics, and industrial products are being successfully implemented.
At the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in the direction of constructing industrial parks, developing engineering infrastructure, and revitalizing production and logistics facilities. A plan for developing mutually beneficial partnership and further continuing joint investment projects was specified, and representatives of the said company expressed their intention to visit the Kyzylorda region on a working visit.
