From April 24 to 29, 2026, the regional qualifying stage of the XXIV «Zhetisu Zhuldyzdary – 2026» Children's Creativity Competition for the Governor's Prize was held across 8 districts and 2 cities of the region.

The Gala Concert and Award Ceremony took place on June 1 at 5:00 PM at the Ilyas Zhansugurov Palace of Culture.

The competition aims to promote children's creativity, provide opportunities for young performers to enter the professional stage, foster musical and aesthetic education, and support talented youth.

A total of 516 children from all districts and cities of the region participated in the qualifying stage, and 326 contestants advanced to the regional finals.

The competition was held in four categories:

1. Pop Vocal Performance;
2. Traditional Singing;
3. Choreography;
4. Instrumental Performance.

Participants competed in three age groups:

• Junior Group: 5–8 years old;
• Middle Group: 9–11 years old;
• Senior Group: 12–15 years old.

Jury Members:

• Aigul Sabitova – Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairperson of the Jury;
• Nodyrzhan Atametov – Laureate of International and National Festivals, Ballet Master of the “Zhetisu” Folk Dance Ensemble of the D. Rakyshev Philharmonic;
• Gulbanu Lakhayeva – Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Pop Vocal Soloist of the D. Rakyshev Philharmonic;
• Tanzharyk Orynbasar – Laureate of International and National Competitions, Instrumentalist of the D. Rakyshev Philharmonic;
• Zhanatbek Aidarali – Poet, Traditional Singer, Head of the Cultural and Leisure Activities Department of the Zhetisu Regional Center for Folk Art.

According to the competition results, winners and prize recipients in each category and age group were awarded diplomas, certificates, and cash prize certificates.
