Astana, June 1, 2026 – A meeting was held between Zh. Asanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development “KazAID”, and M. Sarieva, Head of the Programme Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, information on KazAID’s priority geographical and sectoral areas, as well as programs and activities with other development agencies, was presented. UNODC representatives spoke about the organization's activities in Central Asia and Kazakhstan. Special attention was also paid to the joint projects implemented between KazAID and UNODC in the penitentiary and anti-corruption spheres.

Being the only official development assistance (ODA) operator in Central Asia, KazAID expresses its commitment to contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in partner countries.
