On May 29 of this year, a briefing dedicated to International Children's Day was held at the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Region. The event addressed issues related to the implementation of state policy in the field of children's rights protection, the organization of summer recreation and health improvement for schoolchildren, as well as ensuring the psychological well-being of minors.
The briefing was attended by the Deputy Head of the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Region - Akylbek Alima Akylbekkyzy, the Acting Director of the State Institution "Regional Center for Psychological Support" - Liliya Petrovna Kuzemko, as well as the Regional Commissioner for Children's Rights in the East Kazakhstan Region - Aksana Alexandrovna Kalenova.
The briefing discussed activities implemented within the framework of the Concept approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which includes four thematic blocks: "Aqordağa saýahat" (Journey to Akorda), "Bala üni" (Child's Voice), "Balalar älemi" (Children's World), the republican campaign "Baqyttı balalyq şaq üşin" (For a Happy Childhood), the organization of children's summer recreation, as well as issues of protecting the psychological well-being of minors.
As part of the events dedicated to International Children's Day, 5 students from the East Kazakhstan Region will participate in an excursion to the residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Akorda.
Furthermore, on June 1, as part of the republican campaign "Baqyttı balalyq şaq üşin" (For a Happy Childhood), a gala concert of the regional children's creativity festival "SHYGYS BALAFEST" will be held. The main goal of the festival is to support and develop children's creativity, and to identify and encourage talented children in the field of art.
On June 1, a meeting of the regional akim (governor) with gifted schoolchildren - winners of international and republican intellectual olympiads, creative competitions, and sports competitions - will also take place. 150 students will participate in the event.
Special attention during the summer holidays is given to organizing full-fledged recreation, health improvement, and employment for children. This work remains one of the priority areas of activity for the Regional Education Department.
During the summer period, it is planned to cover 99.9% of schoolchildren in the region with health improvement, recreation, and various forms of employment, including 100% of children from large and low-income families.
During the summer holidays, 12 suburban children's health centers, 276 school camps with meals, and 226 specialized sites without meals will operate in the region.
To organize summer recreation and leisure for children, 2,454 pedagogical workers will be involved, including 1,230 educators and counselors, 1,224 additional education teachers, 250 medical workers, as well as pedagogical teams consisting of college and university students.
Systematic work is being carried out in the region to ensure safe, high-quality, and accessible recreation and health improvement for children, which is under constant supervision.
Following the briefing, additional proposals and measures will be developed aimed at further improving the quality of life for children, ensuring their safety, and protecting the rights and interests of every child.
