Dubai, May 28, 2026 – Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Rauan Zhumabek, presented letters of appreciation on behalf of Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yermek Kosherbayev, to Kazakh entrepreneurs who assisted in the successful evacuation of Kazakh citizens from the conflict zone in the Middle East in March this year.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions in the UAE and the mutual support of Kazakh citizens permanently residing in the Emirates, more than 6,000 Kazakhstan’s citizens were safely evacuated and returned home.

Ambassador R.Zhumabek particularly highlighted the active involvement of compatriots in this large-scale and highly responsible evacuation operation, emphasizing the financial assistance, accommodation support, and medical aid they provided.

He also expressed gratitude to citizens making a significant contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the UAE.

Special appreciation was extended to the UAE authorities for their comprehensive and prompt support in organizing evacuation flights and ensuring the smooth border crossing of Kazakh citizens.

Protecting the rights, safety, and well-being of Kazakh citizens abroad remains one of the key priorities of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy.
