In May 2026, the implementation of the RoboBastau project concluded in schools of the East Kazakhstan Region. The project was organized by the East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development "Örken" of the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Region, in collaboration with the "Robotek" robotics school, with the support of the "Kazzinc" company. The project aimed to develop engineering and technical competencies among students and popularize robotics among schoolchildren in the region.

As a result of the project, the East Kazakhstan Region was represented by 10 teams at the international final of the Robotek Grand Tournament Astana 2026, of which 3 teams were participants of the RoboBastau project. This was the largest representation among all regions of the country.

Special mention should be made of a member of the East Kazakhstan Region team - Merey Toktamysov, a participant in the robotics club of the R. Marsekov Secondary School in the Ulan District. Based on his performance at the championship, he received an educational grant to study a technical specialty at the Toraygyrov University Non-Commercial Joint-Stock Company (Pavlodar city).
