Regional Akim Murat Ergeshbayev received the renowned travel blogger Dastan Mukhamedrakhim.
During the meeting, the regional leader discussed the work being carried out to increase the tourism potential of the region and emphasized the importance of introducing the world to its historical and cultural heritage.
– First of all, welcome to the Kyzylorda region with its deep history and strong unity! The Kyzylorda region is a sacred land that preserves traces of ancient civilizations. Ancient cities along the SyrDarya, historical monuments, and cultural heritage sites reveal the secrets of the thousand-year history of the Great Silk Road. Furthermore, it is known that our region, with its natural features, is particularly attractive to travelers.
Today, the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Sighanaq settlement, and the Geopark Aral project have been included on the country's tourism map. Among the regional-level tourist sites are Lake Khan-Khoja, the Korkyt Ata memorial complex, the Kamystybas lake resort area, the Janakorgan mud resorts, the petroglyphs in the Sauyskandyq gorge, the Zhankent settlement, the Aktas Mosque, and the mausoleums of Khoresan Ata, Okshy Ata, and Maral Ishan. I express my special gratitude to you for your interest in these historical places and for presenting them to the world's attention! – said Murat Nalkhozhaevich.
In turn, Dastan Mukhamedrakhim expressed his satisfaction with the hospitality of the local residents and announced his intention to implement joint projects aimed at developing domestic tourism in the near future.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the region presented gifts to the honored guest in accordance with Kazakh traditions.
It is worth recalling that recently, world-renowned travel bloggers specially visited Kyzylorda and toured the renovated Presidential Park. They also visited the Korkyt Ata memorial complex in the Karmakshy district and conducted filming at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
It should be noted that extensive work is currently being carried out to develop regional tourism. Last year, the region was visited by 212.3 thousand tourists, of which 199.8 thousand were domestic tourists and 12.5 thousand were foreign tourists. Investments totaling 54.4 billion tenge have been attracted to the industry.
