The State Revenue Department for Almaty informs that there is currently a congestion of freight vehicles at the “Zhaysan” road border checkpoint of the State Revenue Department for Aktobe Region on the Kazakhstan–Russia section of the state border (adjacent to the “Ilek-1” checkpoint in the Orenburg Region of the Russian Federation).

In this regard, in order to minimize waiting times, prevent vehicle downtime, and optimize logistics processes, the State Revenue Department for Almaty strongly recommends that foreign economic activity participants, carriers, customs representatives, and other parties involved in the transportation process:

• Plan routes in advance, taking into account the current traffic load in this direction;
• Use alternative routes: until the situation is resolved, it is recommended to move vehicles through the “Alimbet” road border checkpoint;
• Timely inform drivers and other concerned parties about possible changes to transportation routes.

The situation is under continuous monitoring by the authorized state authorities.
