The Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Zhambyl Region conducted an unscheduled inspection of one of the gas stations in the city of Taraz, based on a citizen's appeal.

During the inspection, it was established that a fuel dispenser used for dispensing petroleum products to consumers was in operation without a valid verification, as confirmed by a verification certificate.

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, measuring instruments used in the dispensing of petroleum products are subject to state metrological control and must undergo mandatory verification during their operational period.

Based on the inspection results, the entrepreneur was held administratively liable under Article 419 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses. The amount of the administrative fine was 230 Monthly Calculation Indices (MCI).

Under a simplified procedure, the entrepreneur paid 115 MCI, which amounts to 497,375 tenge.

Furthermore, the entrepreneur was issued an order to eliminate the identified violations and bring the activities into compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of ensuring measurement uniformity.

The Department reminds that compliance with the requirements in the field of ensuring measurement uniformity is an important condition for protecting consumer rights and ensuring the reliability of measurements in the sale of petroleum products.
