Today, a regular meeting chaired by District Akim Zhandos Yerkinbek was held to discuss issues raised during the meeting led by the Regional Akim, as well as key priorities related to the district’s development.

The agenda included the development of the railway sector and the progress of infrastructure projects. In this regard, the participants reviewed the ongoing modernization of the railway stations in the settlements of Zhosaly and Toretam, being carried out under the instructions of the Head of State and with the support of the Regional Akim. Heads of relevant sectors and settlement akims reported on the work being implemented in this area.

Zhandos Yerkinbek instructed:

"Ensure that the railway station infrastructure is modernized in line with contemporary standards, that the surrounding areas are fully improved and landscaped, and that all renovation works are completed on time and with high quality."

The meeting also reviewed the progress of the major reconstruction of the railway overpass located at the 46th kilometer of the regional highway “Zhalagash – Zhosaly.” Officials were instructed to maintain strict oversight over the quality of the project and ensure its completion within the established timeframe.

Overall, the district has demonstrated positive growth across all macroeconomic indicators during the first five months of 2026. Relevant instructions were given to maintain this positive trend and achieve the planned targets in the future.

The sanitary and epidemiological situation within the district was also discussed. Zhandos Yerkinbek instructed the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department, the District Veterinary Station, and the akims of settlements and rural districts to strengthen public awareness campaigns regarding Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), organize the cleaning of household yards and livestock facilities, and ensure strict control over tick-prevention measures.

All responsible institutions and sector leaders were reminded of the importance of ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of the assigned tasks.
