Expanding the tax base requires a systematic approach

Today, as part of a working visit to the Karmakshy District, Regional Akim Murat Ergeshbayev and Chairman of the Regional Maslikhat Murat Tleumbetov attended a meeting of the district asset held at the Ruhaniyat Center in Zhosaly. The meeting focused on the region’s socio-economic development priorities and upcoming tasks.
The regional head addressed several pressing issues and issued specific instructions regarding the expansion of the tax base, negotiations with foreign investors, implementation of water-saving technologies, strengthening construction quality control, and increasing the level of gasification.
"The district has demonstrated positive growth in its key macroeconomic indicators during the January–May period. Expanding the tax base is particularly important for ensuring financial stability. Akims of settlements and rural districts must carry out systematic work in this direction. Internal resources and economic potential should be used effectively through the implementation of new investment projects.
Since 2023, the area under rice cultivation has decreased by 1,158 hectares. The district has 33 agricultural canals, and project documentation is planned for nine of them. I instruct you to prioritize crops that require less water. Develop projects and work jointly with the Baikonur Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation,"* said the Regional Akim.
Over the past four years, 267 apartments have been commissioned in the Karmakshy District. Housing construction will continue this year, and responsible officials have been instructed to strengthen quality control over construction projects.
The district’s gasification rate currently stands at 79.2 percent. Natural gas connection works are actively underway in the villages of Iirkol and Torebay Bi. The Regional Akim instructed the Regional Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services to work jointly on gradually extending gas supply to other villages as well.
With financing from the company Zhasyl Damu, nine projects worth 98.7 billion tenge are currently being implemented across the region. A project by Green Orda Project is planned in the Karmakshy District. Officials were instructed to accelerate the work and submit the documentation for the second-stage expert review.
In addition, responsible officials were tasked with strengthening public order and maintaining continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation related to Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever.
During the meeting, local residents and village elders raised important issues and shared their proposals.
As part of the visit, the Regional Akim also met with outstanding students from the Karmakshy District and viewed an exhibition showcasing handicrafts created together with their teachers, as well as innovative projects developed using modern technologies.
