A Meeting on Compliance with Labour and Social Rights of Employees Held at the Karaganda Region State Labour Inspectorate Department

On 18 June 2026, the State Labour Inspectorate Department of the Karaganda Region held a meeting with representatives of trade union organizations advocating for the interests of employees entitled to compensation payments for occupational injuries and work-related health damage.
During the meeting, participants discussed current issues related to the protection of labour and social rights of employees who have suffered health impairments as a result of their employment, as well as ways to improve social support mechanisms for this category of citizens.
The participants reviewed matters concerning compensation payments, reimbursement of medical treatment and health resort rehabilitation expenses, special social benefits, and certain aspects of legislation governing the rights of employees who have lost their occupational working capacity.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation among government agencies, employers, insurance organizations, and employee representatives to ensure effective social protection for individuals injured in the workplace.
As a result of the meeting, a number of proposals were developed aimed at further improving the legal framework and enhancing the effectiveness of mechanisms for protecting employees’ labour and social rights. The participants emphasized the importance of continuing constructive dialogue among all stakeholders and developing coordinated solutions to the issues under consideration.
