On June 19, 2026, Ambassador-at-Large – Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, Zhanibek Abdrashov, participated in and delivered a welcoming speech at an event dedicated to the National Day of the Portuguese Republic, as well as the ceremony for the donation of traditional Portuguese musical instruments to the Ykylas Museum of Folk Musical Instruments. The event was organized by the Embassy of Portugal in Kazakhstan. In his remarks, the Ambassador noted that the event symbolizes the cultural and spiritual unity of the two nations. Particular attention was given to the importance of creative heritage in strengthening and developing cultural ties between our countries.
