Al-Kuwait, June 21, 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Kuwait Yerzhan Yelekeyev held a meeting with Deputy Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Emad Al-Zaid.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kuwait, as well as ways to strengthen ties between the business communities of the two countries.

Particular attention was given to the preparation of the Kazakhstan-Kuwait Business Forum on Food Security, which is planned to be held in Kuwait in the autumn of this year. The event is expected to serve as an effective platform for establishing direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, discussing prospects for joint projects, and expanding supplies of Kazakh agricultural products to the Kuwaiti market.

The Kuwaiti side particularly emphasized the importance of food security and expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan as one of the leading agricultural producers in Central Asia. In this regard, the parties discussed opportunities to increase supplies of Kazakhstan’s agricultural products, including meat and meat products, vegetable oils, grain crops and other food products.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan briefed his counterpart on the potential of Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial sector, highlighting the country's competitive advantages in agricultural production, as well as opportunities for developing mutually beneficial partnerships between companies of the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation and further strengthening bilateral ties.
