Ahead of Unit Leader’s Day, which is annually celebrated on June 14, the Department held the professional skills competition “Best Unit Leader.” The event aimed to enhance the professional competence of employees, improve their service skills, and promote the exchange of best practices.

Representatives from five correctional institutions across the region took part in the competition. During the contest, participants demonstrated their professional achievements, physical and tactical training, knowledge of legal regulations, as well as their ability to effectively interact with inmates and engage with audiences. The contestants presented reports on their professional activities, prepared thematic video presentations, and conducted interactive activities reflecting the specifics of a unit leader’s work.

The competition jury evaluated not only the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the participants, but also their initiative, creativity in performing official duties, communication skills, and ability to make decisions in non-standard situations.

According to the results of the competition, Major of Justice Nurgul Kusainova, Unit Leader of Institution No. 52, was declared the winner, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and successfully completing all stages of the contest. Second place was awarded to Danagul Akhmetova from Institution No. 50, while third place went to Dias Tuyakov from Institution No. 51.
