On June 18, 2026, a meeting of the regional headquarters for coordinating the activities of state agencies for the prevention of drug addiction and combating drug crime was held under the chairmanship of the akim of the region. The participants discussed issues of increasing the effectiveness of anti-drug work among minors and strengthening control at checkpoints.

More than 40 events have been held in the region, 1,600 information materials have been released, the Esirtkisiz Bolashak forum has been organized, and the Dosym Telegram bot is functioning.

Over the past two years, there has been a positive trend, the number of minors registered for drug treatment has decreased to zero, and no cases of teenagers being involved in drug crimes have been registered this year.

It was instructed to continue the work that has begun, provide targeted support for difficult teenagers and strengthen cooperation with educational organizations and the sports community, focusing on the formation of a stable drug-free attitude and healthy lifestyle values among teenagers.

A separate issue is the technical equipment of checkpoints for the suppression of drug trafficking channels across the state border.

Following the meeting, instructions were given aimed at improving the effectiveness of preventive work, targeted support for at-risk adolescents and improving measures to combat drug trafficking.
