Prospects for Kazakhstan–Poland Interparliamentary Cooperation discussed in Warsaw

Warsaw, 24 June 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland Nurlan Zhalgasbayev met with Senator of the Republic of Poland Kazimierz Kleina, a member of the Kazakhstan–Poland Parliamentary Cooperation Group, at the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of interparliamentary cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland, and reviewed the outcomes of the official visit to Kazakhstan by the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, which took place on 18–20 June this year.
The Polish Senator was informed about the key directions of Kazakhstan’s political modernization, including preparations for the forthcoming elections to the Kurultai, as well as the ongoing implementation of the constitutional reform in the country.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation between the two countries within pan-European institutions, including the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), and other multilateral platforms.
As part of efforts to deepen cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the parties also discussed the prospects for implementing joint projects aimed at studying and promoting the contribution of representatives of the Polish intelligentsia to the development of Kazakhstan’s cultural and historical heritage.
