A new digital public service center (PSC) in the Smart Point format has opened its doors to residents of Turkestan. It's a modern space focused on developing digital literacy and enabling independent access to government services. The new center aims to make citizen interaction with government services even more convenient, fast, and comfortable.
The grand opening was attended by Arman Kenzhegaliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation "Government for Citizens," and Nurbol Turashbekov, Deputy Akim of the Turkestan Region.
The digital PSC is a modern space providing all the necessary conditions for independent access to government services and digital skills training. The Smart Point concept aims to foster a new culture of public service delivery, where citizens don't simply request a service, but independently utilize digital government services, receiving the necessary advisory support.
"The opening of Smart Point in Turkestan is not simply the launch of a new format PSC, but an important step in developing a culture of independent access to government services. Today, our goal is not only to provide citizens with high-quality service but also to help them confidently utilize the government's digital capabilities. "I am confident that Smart Point will become a sought-after platform for residents of the region," noted Arman Kenzhegaliev, Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation.
"Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set the goal of maximally simplifying and digitalizing the delivery of government services. Our region is consistently implementing this goal, and the opening of this modern office is further proof of this work. Thanks to effective cooperation with the State Corporation, we have succeeded in creating Smart Point – a modern service space that meets residents' needs," added Nurbol Turashbekov, Deputy Akim of the Turkestan Region.
The Smart Point digital public service center has several functional zones. In the express zone, citizens can independently apply for an ID card or passport using a document terminal and learn about the AlemGPT service on dedicated information screens. The digital zone is equipped with all-in-one computers and high-speed scanners for self-service access to government services and document management online, while in the expert zone, visitors can receive expert advice on more complex issues. Separate training and information areas are provided for residents to improve their digital literacy and learn about new digital services, while a comfortable relaxation area makes the center as convenient as possible for visitors.
The project, implemented with the support of the Akimat of the Turkestan Region, marks another step in the development of a modern service infrastructure and the creation of a comfortable digital environment for residents of the region.
As a reminder, the first region in Kazakhstan to implement the Smart Point digital public service center format was Ulytau Region. The center opened on June 4, 2026.
