On June 26, 2026, the State Revenue Department of  East Kazakhstan region hosted an Open Day event titled "Clarification of tax legislation," dedicated to the day of mass media workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by officials from the State Revenue Department of East Kazakhstan region, taxpayers, representatives of consulting firms, the "Atameken" National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, members of the media, bloggers, and public figures.

During the event, the results of the "People's Accountant" campaign were summarized, and key media representatives and campaign participants were honored with awards for their contributions to enhancing the tax and customs literacy of the population.

Throughout the seminar, participants received comprehensive updates regarding the execution of the revenue side of the state budget, licensing procedures for excisable goods, amendments to tax payment deadlines, mechanisms for granting tax deferrals and installment plans, as well as the regulatory procedures governing the sale of seized property through public auctions.

Particular emphasis was placed on the mechanics of cameral audits and the procedures for executing identified notifications of discrepancies.

During the meeting, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarifications from leading experts on actual aspects of tax legislation and tax administration.

The Open Day served as an effective platform for transparent dialogue between the state revenue authorities and taxpayers, contributing to the elevation of legal and fiscal literacy among citizens as well as strengthening interaction with the business community.
