Kazakhstan and Brazil Expand Cooperation in Education

Brasília, June 29, 2026 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Federative Republic of Brazil welcomed the Managing Directors of the 26th session of the Americas Model United Nations (AMUN), Rodrigo Carvalho, Francisco Pessoa and Gabriel Schulze.

The meeting focused on the participation of Kazakh representatives in the 26th AMUN session, which will take place from October 30 to November 2, 2026, at the Institute of International Relations of the University of Brasília (IREL/UnB). This year's theme is "Latin America: Identities that Meet; Memories that Resist; Sovereignties that Flourish".

A separate item on the agenda was the organization of a lecture by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan for students of the Institute of International Relations at the University of Brasília on the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event is scheduled to take place on the eve of the 26th AMUN session and will provide future diplomats and international affairs specialists with an opportunity to learn about the key priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, its international initiatives, and its cooperation agenda with the countries of Latin America.

The parties also exchanged views on the role of academic exchanges, youth diplomacy, and scientific and educational cooperation in further strengthening Kazakhstan–Brazil relations. They emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries, implementing joint educational projects, and encouraging students to participate in international discussion platforms.

The participants expressed their mutual interest in further developing bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their readiness to implement joint initiatives aimed at strengthening humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Brazil.
