On 11 June 2026, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Israel Daulet Yemberdiyev participated in an event organized by the Arab Council for International Relations and the Forum of Arab Cultural Associations.
The event brought together diplomats, public figures, representatives of academic institutions, and members of civil society to discuss issues related to intercultural dialogue, regional cooperation, and the promotion of mutual understanding among the peoples of the Middle East and other regions of the world.
In his remarks, D.Yemberdiyev emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation, promoting interfaith dialogue, and enhancing regional stability. It was also noted that Kazakhstan, as a secular state with a Muslim-majority population, places particular importance on religious tolerance, the protection of human rights, and ensuring equality for all citizens regardless of their ethnic or religious background.
Particular attention was given to the constitutional reforms undertaken in Kazakhstan. It was noted that the updated Constitution has reinforced the democratic principles of the state, strengthened guarantees for the protection of human rights and freedoms, enshrined equality of citizens irrespective of their ethnic or religious affiliation, and reaffirmed the secular nature of the state by stipulating that education in public educational institutions is based on scientific knowledge and civic values. These reforms reflect Kazakhstan’s consistent commitment to building a just and modern society.
Participants were also informed about Kazakhstan’s international initiatives in the field of interfaith dialogue, including the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana. For more than two decades, the Congress has served as an important platform for fostering mutual understanding among representatives of different faiths.
The discussion also addressed prospects for expanding international cooperation within the framework of the Abraham Accords, humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting the post-war reconstruction of Gaza, as well as opportunities for developing economic and technological ties between the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East.
Kazakhstan’s participation in the event reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the principles of constructive dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and mutually beneficial international cooperation.
