Issues of Kazakh-Kenyan Cooperation Development Discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya

Nairobi, July 2, 2026 – A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Kenya and Permanent Representative of the RK to the UN Office in Nairobi, Barlybay Sadykov, and the Principal Secretary of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, Abraham Korir SingOei.

During the meeting, the parties discussed actual issues on the bilateral agenda, plans for implementing the agreements reached following the state visit of H.E. Mr. William Ruto, the President of Kenya, to Kazakhstan, upcoming bilateral visits at various levels, as well as the formation of the bilateral legal framework.

In addition, the sides exchanged views on current issues of the international agenda, reaffirming their commitment to close cooperation within multilateral frameworks and mutual exchanges.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to strengthen cooperation across the entire spectrum of bilateral interaction in order to implement the outcomes of William Ruto's visit to the Kazakhstan in sectors such as trade and investment, transit and transport routes (including the use of Kenya's ports), information and financial technologies, space, the mining industry, sports, and tourism.
