Ahead of National Dombra Day, servicemen from various units of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan came together for a unique musical project celebrating Kazakhstan’s rich cultural heritage.

Personnel from the patrol service, the aviation unit, the support regiment, and the Honor Guard Company joined dombra musicians from the National Guard’s Song and Dance Ensemble, together with conductors of the Exemplary Military Band, to perform the legendary kui "Balbyrauyn."

The performance took place at one of Astana’s most popular landmarks—Sarqyrama Waterfall. Against the backdrop of its picturesque cascading waters, the sound of nearly 50 dombras created a remarkable atmosphere, blending the beauty of modern Astana with the richness of Kazakhstan’s national musical heritage. The performance symbolized continuity between generations, respect for tradition, and devotion to national culture.

Through this creative initiative, National Guard servicemen congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on National Dombra Day, reminding everyone that national culture has the power to unite people regardless of their profession or occupation.

The musical project once again demonstrated that serving the Motherland means not only carrying out military and operational duties but also preserving the spiritual values, history, and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people.
