He began his career in 2009 at the Institute of Economic Research JSC under the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the years, he held positions of Senior Expert, Head of the Investment Process Analysis Department, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Development and Economic Research, and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development.

Since May 2016, he worked as Deputy General Director of the QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development JSC. He oversaw trade analytics, engagement with the WTO and OECD, integration processes, and sanctions compliance issues.

He headed the project group for the implementation of the Country Cooperation Program between Kazakhstan and the OECD, and also coordinated the regional project of the International Trade Center "Ready for Trade Central Asia".

He is a member of the national team of the international research project Global Entrepreneurship Monitor based at Nazarbayev University.
