Private Nikita Maslyanik from Aktobe, who is serving his compulsory military service in the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has attracted the attention of his fellow servicemen due to his remarkable resemblance to actor Yuriy Borisov. From the very first days of service, many of his comrades noticed the striking similarity.

According to the young serviceman, it was these comparisons that inspired him to watch the film "Kalashnikov," in which Borisov plays the lead role. The movie tells the story of the legendary small arms designer Mikhail Kalashnikov and his journey to becoming one of the world's most renowned weapons engineers. The film left a strong impression on Nikita.

He was particularly surprised to learn that several important stages of Kalashnikov’s life and professional development were closely connected with Kazakhstan.

Today, Nikita serves in Military Unit 5513 of the National Guard, where he is mastering his military specialty, acquiring new skills, and developing the discipline, responsibility, and character that military service demands.

Despite the comparisons with the famous actor, the young guardsman believes that what truly matters is fulfilling his military duty with honor and serving his country faithfully.
