The Department of State Revenue for the Mangystau region warns citizens about the increased incidence of telephone fraud.
The attackers, posing as employees of the state revenue authorities, are trying to take over the personal data of citizens using various pretexts — from messages about allegedly received official letters to offers to receive documents through mail or courier service.
During a conversation, fraudsters may ask for SMS codes, including those coming from the 1414 number, confirmation codes, passwords, bank card details, and other confidential information.
It is important to remember that employees of state revenue agencies never ask for passwords, bank card details, or other personal data.
If you receive a similar call:
- do not provide codes and personal information.;
- do not follow the links from the messages;
- do not install unknown applications;
- end the conversation immediately;
- if necessary, contact the State Revenue Department yourself through official communication channels.
The Department of State Revenue for the Mangystau region urges citizens to remain vigilant, warn relatives and friends about such schemes and trust only official information. A few minutes of verification can protect your personal data and financial resources.
