First Deputy Prime Minister Nurlybek Nalibayev, as part of a working trip to the Zhambyl region, reviewed the progress of major investment projects in the chemical industry. Together with the head of the region, Yerbol Karashukeyev, he visited operating enterprises and production sites under construction.

To implement the tasks set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the transition to a new economic model, special attention is being paid to the comprehensive development of energy, engineering, and transport and logistics infrastructure. This area is one of the key priorities in the Government's work.

The working trip began with a visit to Kazphosphate LLP. In January-April 2026, the enterprise produced 246.1 thousand tons of products worth 64.2 billion tenge. According to Eduard Ogay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazakhmys Holding LLP, the enterprise not only supplies the domestic agro-industrial complex with mineral fertilizers but also exports products to the markets of Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and other countries.
