A ceremonial opening of the largest production hangar in the Republic, with a total area of 1,200 square meters, was held at Institution №50 in the North Kazakhstan Region.

The new production facility houses a modern sewing workshop with 60 workstations. Here, inmates manufacture big bags for SMBGroup Family, a company specializing in the production and sale of industrial packaging.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Department, the Regional Prosecutor, and a representative of the partner company. In a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event, they officially launched the operation of the new production facility.

Following the official ceremony, invited guests were given a tour of the production complex. The delegation observed the organization of the manufacturing process, the working conditions of the inmates, and visited an exhibition showcasing products manufactured at the subordinate correctional institutions.

According to specialists, it takes an average of about 20 minutes to produce one big bag. In the near future, the workshop is expected to begin operating in two shifts, which will increase production capacity and provide employment opportunities for an even greater number of inmates.

The implementation of such production projects contributes to the development of industrial capacity, the creation of new employment opportunities for inmates, the acquisition of in-demand vocational skills, and their successful social reintegration after release.
