Kazakhstan and Brazil expand the horizons of cooperation through the Kazakhstan - Brazil friendship forum

Brasília, July 15, 2026 - Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov met with Ulisses Riedel, President of the Planetary Union of Brazil and the Kazakhstan - Brazil Friendship Forum, and former Senator of the National Congress of Brazil.
The Ambassador briefed his counterpart on the large-scale political reforms currently underway in Kazakhstan, including the entry into force of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan on July 1, 2026, the upcoming elections to the unicameral Kurultai, and the formation of the "Qazaqstan Halyq Keñesi" (Kazakhstan People's Council).
Ulisses Riedel highly praised Kazakhstan's constitutional reforms and wished the country's leadership and people every success in implementing the reforms and in the forthcoming Kurultai elections.
In turn, Ambassador Bolat Nussupov expressed his appreciation for the long-standing friendly and productive cooperation and presented Mr.Riedel with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Embassy in recognition of his contribution to strengthening and expanding bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of holding the next joint session of the Kazakhstan - Brazil Friendship Forum in the autumn of this year.
For reference: The Planetary Union of Brazil (União Planetária) is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization engaged in developing projects in the social, educational, and environmental fields while promoting public interests. Founded in 1997 by Ulisses Riedel and a group of prominent political leaders, the organization implements social, spiritual, and global initiatives throughout Brazil and promotes successful practices through TV SUPREN, an educational television channel that has received numerous awards, including the Gandhi Communication Award.
The Kazakhstan - Brazil Friendship Forum was established in 2022. In accordance with its Charter, it consists of a Board of Directors and a Board of Trustees comprising former politicians, business leaders, legal professionals, public figures, and media representatives. The Forum holds two expanded meetings annually to discuss key issues of Kazakhstan–Brazil bilateral relations.
