Brasília, July 16, 2026 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Brazil held its regular press briefing for representatives of the Brazilian media.

The briefing focused on the large-scale political reforms currently being implemented in Kazakhstan, including the entry into force of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan on July 1, 2026, the upcoming elections to the unicameral Kurultai, and the formation of the "Qazaqstan Halyq Keñesi" (Kazakhstan People's Council).

The participants expressed great interest in the upcoming political developments in Kazakhstan. Highly appreciating the country's constitutional reforms, the Brazilian journalists wished Kazakhstan and its people success in the forthcoming Kurultai elections. During the meeting, it was agreed to hold the next press briefing following the parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan, scheduled for August 23 of this year.

At the conclusion of the briefing, Ambassador Bolat Nussupov thanked the Brazilian journalists for their many years of fruitful cooperation and, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil, presented them with Certificates of Appreciation from the Embassy.
