Kazakhstan Explored Digital Solutions of the Customs Service of Uzbekistan

On July 30, 2026, as part of a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the delegation of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Targeting and Risk Center, the Customs Clearance Center, and the Central Customs Laboratory of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan presented the work of the Targeting and Risk Center, where centralized data analysis, risk identification, formation of risk profiles, and the application of modern analytical tools are carried out to increase the efficiency of customs control.
Special attention was paid to the activities of the Customs Clearance Center. The participants reviewed the organization of remote clearance of customs declarations, digital solutions, automation of decision-making processes, and mechanisms allowing to reduce the timeframe for conducting customs operations.
In addition, the delegation visited the Central Customs Laboratory, where it learned about conducting expert examinations of goods, determining their classification, origin, and composition, as well as modern approaches to scientific and technical support of customs control.
During the meetings, the parties discussed issues of digitalization of customs administration, improvement of the risk management system, implementation of modern information and analytical technologies, and development of the expert and laboratory field. Special attention was paid to the exchange of practical experience and prospects for further interaction.
Following the visit, the parties noted the high level of cooperation and the practical value of the held exchange of experience. The obtained developments will be used in the further improvement of customs administration, implementation of modern digital solutions, and execution of joint initiatives to develop partnership between the customs services of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
