A study tour for Shakarim University students was conducted at the medium security facility of the Department of the Penal Correction System in the Abai region. The event is aimed at preventing offenses among young people, forming legal awareness and increasing the level of responsibility for their actions.
The tour is organized as part of the institution's systematic cooperation with Shakarim University and is part of a comprehensive effort to prevent youth crime. Such events are held on an ongoing basis and cover students of various specialties. This time, the institution was visited by more than twenty students.
During the visit, the students were provided with detailed information about the activities of the penal enforcement system, the procedure for the execution of sentences, as well as the legal consequences of committing illegal acts. The participants got acquainted with the conditions of detention of convicts, visited the facilities of the institution and received answers to their questions.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to preventive work: students were taught the importance of following the law, as well as the consequences that rash decisions and illegal behavior can lead to.
           - This tour has become an object lesson for me, which is impossible to get only from textbooks. After seeing the real conditions of detention of convicts and hearing their stories, you begin to understand more deeply the consequences that rash actions can lead to. Such meetings form a conscious attitude towards the law and one's own life. I am sure that for many students this will be an important factor that will help them make the right choice and avoid mistakes in the future," said one of the students.
         — Such events play an important role in shaping law-abiding behavior among young people, contribute to improving legal culture and awareness of personal responsibility for their actions, work on the prevention of offenses among young people will continue in the future with the involvement of educational organizations in the region.— said Nurbolat Sapargaliyev, Deputy head of the educational institution.
