The Tourism Department of the East Kazakhstan Region informs entrepreneurs about the current government support measures aimed at developing the tourism industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Tourist Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan", the following government support measures are available to business entities operating in the tourism sector:

Reimbursement of 10% of the Costs for the Construction and Reconstruction of Tourism Facilities and Roadside Service Facilities

Entrepreneurs are entitled to reimbursement of 10% of the actual costs incurred for the construction or reconstruction of tourism facilities and roadside service facilities.

To receive the reimbursement, an application must be submitted to the local executive body at the location of the facility by 1 June of the calendar year, either in paper or electronic form (by mail or in person).

The following documents shall be attached to the application:

• constituent documents of the legal entity or documents of the individual entrepreneur;
• commissioning (acceptance) certificate of the facility;
• design (design and estimate) documentation with a positive expert opinion;
• photo and video evidence of the facility;
• an extract confirming the VAT growth dynamics for the previous two years (in cases provided for by the Rules);
• a certificate confirming the absence of tax arrears.

Reimbursement of 25% of the Cost of Tourist Buses

A reimbursement of 25% of the cost of motor vehicles with more than eight passenger seats (excluding the driver's seat), purchased by business entities engaged in tourism activities, is provided.

To receive the reimbursement, an application must be submitted to the local executive body at the place of registration by 1 June of the calendar year.

The following documents shall be attached to the application:

• constituent documents of the legal entity or documents of the individual entrepreneur;
• power of attorney (if submitted by a representative);
• information on the presence or absence of tax arrears;
• vehicle registration certificate;
• documents confirming the purchase of the bus (electronic invoice, sale and purchase agreement or loan agreement);
• for imported vehicles – a customs declaration or an import application bearing the mark of the tax authority;
• photo and video evidence of the vehicle.

Subsidization of the Costs for the Maintenance of Sanitary and Hygienic Facilities

Business entities may receive subsidies covering part of the costs for maintaining sanitary and hygienic facilities located in tourist destinations and along tourist routes. This measure is aimed at improving tourism infrastructure and creating comfortable conditions for travelers.

To receive the subsidy, the applicant shall submit an application and the documents stipulated by the Rules on Subsidizing Part of the Costs for the Maintenance of Sanitary and Hygienic Facilities within the timeframes and in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation.

Applications for government support measures shall be submitted to the local executive body in accordance with the procedures and deadlines established by the relevant Rules.
