The Korkyt Ata International Film Festival was held in Aktau from 1 to 4 October 2025. The festival opened with a grand opening ceremony, a red carpet event, and welcomed guests from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, as well as the cities of Almaty and Astana.

One of the festival's highlights was the appearance of renowned Turkish actor Burak Özçivit, whose visit attracted significant public attention. Bringing together culture, cinema, and international guests, the festival became an important event that strengthened cultural ties and promoted Aktau as a destination for international cultural events.
