On 2 February 2026, a regional meeting chaired by Mangystau Region Akim Nurdaulet Igilikuly was held to discuss the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting focused on the importance of constitutional reforms, strengthening democracy, ensuring the rule of law, and maintaining the balance of powers. Participants also emphasized the importance of broad public discussion and raising public awareness of the proposed constitutional changes.
