“Law and Order”: Priority Areas for the Activities of Almaty Police Identified

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Lieutenant General Ansagan Baltabekov met with the personnel of the Almaty Police Department.
The Deputy Minister reviewed the police department’s efforts to maintain law and order and ensure public safety in the city.
During the meeting, the operational situation in Almaty, issues related to maintaining public order, and ensuring the safety of citizens were discussed. Particular attention was paid to improving the effectiveness of police work, preventing offenses, and strengthening cooperation with the public.
Ansagan Baltabekov emphasized that the principle of “Law and Order” must be at the core of law enforcement activities. The department’s leadership was also instructed to ensure systematic oversight of subordinate personnel and strengthen service discipline.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of prompt response and achieving concrete results in addressing issues related to the safety of Almaty residents, as well as further increasing public confidence in the police.
Following the visit, recommendations were given to continue efforts to ensure public safety in cooperation with the National Guard, guided by the principle of “Law and Order.”
