Since the beginning of 2026, within the framework of the commission established in accordance with the order of the Akimat of the Ulytau Region, 32 meetings of the commission for reviewing intermediary schemes in the food product pricing chain have been held.

As a result of the commission meetings, the monthly analysis of electronic invoices conducted by the Trade Committee, as well as the monitoring results of local executive bodies, facts of exceeding the established maximum trade markup of 15% on socially significant food products have been identified.

For the identified violations, in accordance with Article 204-4 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses, administrative measures have been taken against 94 business entities.

Of these, 3 entrepreneurs received orders to eliminate the identified violations based on the results of preventive control. The remaining 91 entrepreneurs were imposed administrative fines totaling 2 million 465 thousand 250 tenge. Of this amount, 1 million 232 thousand 625 tenge was collected under the abbreviated procedure.

Requirements for price tag оформления are also under control

During the monitoring by local executive bodies, 52 entrepreneurs were identified who improperly labeled goods with price tags in retail facilities.

These entrepreneurs were brought to administrative responsibility in accordance with paragraph 4 of Article 193 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses.

As a result, fines totaling 2 million 971 thousand 275 tenge were imposed, of which 1 million 485 thousand 637.50 tenge was collected under the abbreviated procedure.

The Roadmap for the Modernization of Trade Markets, approved on March 30, 2023 by the Acting Minister of Trade and Integration S. Zhumangarin, includes 2 trade markets from the Ulytau Region — "Merey" and "Naryk".

The modernization of these trade markets is under constant control of local executive bodies.

Outreach work is being conducted with entrepreneurs

The Department continuously carries out informational and explanatory work among entrepreneurs on compliance with the requirements of current legislation in the field of trade.

Round tables and meetings are organized at the platform of the NCE "Atameken", during which entrepreneurs are provided with relevant clarifications on issues of interest to them.

In addition, in order to support domestic products, negotiations are held with entrepreneurs on the sale of products from local commodity producers and their placement in retail facilities.

Price monitoring is conducted at agricultural fairs

In order to stabilize prices for socially significant food products in the region, agricultural fairs are held weekly.

At the fairs, goods of the joint-stock company "Social-Entrepreneurial Corporation "Ulytau", as well as meat and dairy products of local agricultural producers, are sold directly. Products are offered to the population at prices below market or at affordable prices.

During the fairs, the Department's employees continuously monitor prices and the assortment of socially significant food products, and appropriate analysis is conducted based on the identified facts.
