Work to create more comfortable conditions for residents continues in the settlement of Torettam. In this regard, District Akim Zhandos Yerkinbek visited Torettam on a working trip and inspected the progress of the major renovation of the railway station and the landscaping of the surrounding area.

Built in 1965, the railway station building has a total area of 597.6 square meters and is capable of serving up to 250 passengers. To date, the main interior works have been fully completed. Plastering of the interior walls, installation of doors, laying of floor tiles, and installation of heating pipes and radiators have all been completed at 100 percent. The exterior works have also been fully completed, including installation of the new roof covering, cladding of the exterior walls, and installation of new windows.

Electrical system installation works are 95 percent complete, while the overall completion rate of construction works at the facility currently stands at 96 percent.

Landscaping of the railway station grounds is also being carried out simultaneously. Funding has been allocated from the district budget for this purpose, and the approved contractor is carrying out the necessary works.

During the working visit, the district akim paid particular attention to the quality of the work completed and gave the following instructions:

“This facility is one of the important sites in our district. Therefore, the interior and exterior works must be carried out to a high standard, and the surrounding area should be landscaped in accordance with modern requirements. The quality and timely completion of the work must remain under close supervision,” he emphasized.
