Helsinki, August 27, 2026 – The delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of emergency prevention and response paid a working visit to Finland.

During the visit, the Kazakh delegation visited the production site of the Finnish company «Lamor Corporation» in Porvoo. The company specializes in developing technologies and equipment for environmental safety and environmental protection.

The delegation got acquainted with the company's production capabilities, modern technological solutions and specialized equipment used for the prevention, containment and clean-up of oil spills.

During the meeting with the management of «Lamor Corporation», the parties exchanged views on how to organise an effective response to environmental emergencies and on the potential use of modern technologies in the Caspian Sea.

A separate area of discussion focused on the training and capacity building of specialists in Kazakhstan in the field of oil spill prevention and response.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their intention to deepen and expand cooperation in the field of oil spill prevention and response.
