Jordan сongratulates Kazakhstan on the Successful Conduct of Elections: Political Consultations between the Foreign Ministries held in Amman

Amman, 24 August 2026 – The Jordanian Side congratulated Kazakhstan on the successful conduct of the Kurultai elections, noting their well-organized nature and their importance for the country’s further political development.

The assessment was made during political consultations between Kazakhstan and Jordan held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Kazakh delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr.Arman Issagaliyev. The consultations were also attended by the Ambassador H.E. Mr.T.Shaldanbay and senior diplomats of the Embassy.

On the Jordanian Side, the consultations were attended by Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates H.E. Mr.Daifallah Ali Al-Fayez and Director of the Department of Asia, Oceania and Africa H.E. Mr.Mohammad Abu Wendi.

During the talks, the parties noted the strong momentum in bilateral cooperation and held an in-depth discussion on the current state and prospects for the further development of Kazakh-Jordanian relations. Particular attention was paid to the ongoing strengthening of political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, interaction in agriculture, transport, tourism and air connectivity, consular issues, and further development of the bilateral legal framework. The parties also reviewed cooperation between the two countries within the UN, OIC, IOFS, CICA and other organizations, and exchanged views on current issues on the international agenda, including the situation in the Middle East.

Special attention was given to preparations for the High-Level Conference “Humanity in War”, to be held in the Kingdom on 7 December 2026 within the framework of the Global Initiative to Galvanize Political Commitment to International Humanitarian Law, co-initiated by a number of countries, including Kazakhstan and Jordan.

During the visit, H.E. Mr.A.Issagaliyev also held talks at the Royal Hashemite Court. The parties reviewed the outcomes of the reciprocal visits of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Amman and King Abdullah II to Astana in 2025, discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, as well as the upcoming meetings and talks between the leaders of the two countries on the margins of international events scheduled to take place in Astana and Amman later this year.

Following the meetings, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in steadily strengthening political dialogue and giving Kazakh-Jordanian cooperation a more practical and substantive character.
