Regional Governor Kumar Aksakalov, together with public representatives, activists, and entrepreneurs, reviewed the progress of work being carried out in the Triathlon Park of Kostanay and the eco-park located in the city's suburban area.

The Head of State pays constant attention to creating a comfortable urban environment, developing modern infrastructure, and ensuring quality recreation for citizens.

Central Park, "Zhenis" Park, "Uly Dala" Park, Triathlon Park, as well as a park on the territory of the former Agricultural Institute have been built in Kostanay. Last year, parks were opened in the railway station area, on Dulatov and Arystanbekov streets, at the intersection of Kasymkhanov and Tauelsizdik streets, as well as in the Konay microdistrict.

The Triathlon Park, covering an area of 39 hectares, has become one of the most popular public spaces among city residents. Its territory features 16 sports and children's playgrounds, and 38 professional exercise machines have been installed.

Currently, work is being completed on the arrangement of the administrative and amenity complex building, a fountain, and the entrance group.

The administrative and amenity complex building includes 8 premises. It is planned to house a café, organize the sale of flowers, souvenirs, sportswear and equipment, as well as rental and sale of sports gear. In addition, there will be points selling coffee, beverages, and ice cream.

The building also includes a local police station and public toilets, including facilities for people with limited mobility.

Landscaping of the territory has been completed, a fountain has been installed, and façade lighting has been set up.

Improvement of the Tobol River embankment continues. A unified embankment has been created, connecting the "Shagala" beach with the Triathlon Park. One of the most popular beach areas among citizens has been expanded and transformed. The promenade area has been increased from 1 to 2.5 kilometers.

With the arrival of new investors and the growth of business activity, the need for modern hotel infrastructure is increasing.

Construction of two world-brand hotel complexes – "Marriott" and "Novotel" – has begun in Kostanay. Construction of a 150-room "Holiday Inn" hotel complex is also planned. The complex will include a conference hall and a dining area. 140 jobs will be created.

Another facility that will allow residents and guests of the city to spend their free time meaningfully will be the "Invictus" fitness club.

The construction of a modern fitness club is not just a new sports infrastructure facility. It is the creation of additional space for active recreation, sports, and meaningful leisure time. 40 jobs have been created.

The club will be equipped with modern premium-class equipment. Up to 300 people will be able to exercise here simultaneously.

The Regional Governor noted that another highlight of the Kostanay region is the large number of parks and public gardens. In accordance with the Head of State's instruction to create eco-parks in the suburban areas of major cities and regional centers, an eco-park covering an area of 43.8 hectares is being built in the Kostanay city agglomeration.

The eco-park territory will feature parking spaces, running and cycling paths, football and volleyball courts, benches and gazebos, as well as children's playgrounds.

In addition, a parking lot and an underground pedestrian crossing will be built, which will pass through the "Astana" microdistrict.
