Construction and modernization of 10 healthcare facilities are underway in Almaty. This was announced by Nurbоl Nursagatov, Head of the Almaty City Construction Department, at a briefing held at the Regional Communications Service.

New clinics and outpatient facilities are being built in the Karagai, Shugyla, Aiteke Bi, Altai-1 and Akzhar microdistricts. Modernization of city hospitals and maternity facilities is also continuing.

Projects to reconstruct a multidisciplinary hospital with an oncology center, the City Children’s Rehabilitation Center and the Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital have received positive state expert reviews.

The briefing also covered the implementation of major infrastructure projects in the sports and cultural sectors.
