Construction of new schools and kindergartens, along with modernization of existing educational facilities, continues in Almaty.

This year, five new schools with a capacity of 1,930 students and three kindergartens for 800 children are being built. Extensions to Schools No. 16, 112 and 170 are also under construction, creating an additional 900 student places.

Since the beginning of the year, seven educational facilities have already been commissioned. Another 15 facilities are planned to be completed by the end of the year, including two schools, three school extensions, the reconstruction and seismic strengthening of nine schools, and a kindergarten on Tlendiev Street.

A college is also being built in the Algabas microdistrict, while Creativity Development Centers are being developed in Sayaly and Zhas-Kanat.

By the end of 2027, Almaty plans to modernize 31 schools.
