Today, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Acting Akim of the district Dias Moldabayev to bid farewell to Lieutenant Colonel Zhandos Bekmurzayev, Head of the District Department for Defence Affairs, as he takes up a new position.

During the meeting, held on the instructions of the district Akim, Dias Asylbekuly noted:

“Zhandos Serikuly was appointed Head of the District Department for Defence Affairs in July 2025. During his tenure, he performed his duties with honour and distinguished himself through his responsibility and professionalism. Throughout his service, he effectively organized work in the areas of mobilization, territorial defence and conscription for compulsory military service, while also making a significant contribution to fostering love for the Motherland, civic responsibility and patriotism among young people.

Today, as part of his professional advancement, Zhandos Serikuly is being appointed Deputy Head of the Department for Defence Affairs of Turkistan Region. In this regard, on behalf of the residents of the district, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Zhandos Serikuly for his contribution to the defence of the country and the military-patriotic education of the younger generation,” Dias Moldabayev said.

During the meeting, Zhandos Bekmurzayev was presented with a special Letter of Appreciation from the district Akim in recognition of his effective work for the district.

The meeting was also addressed by Chairman of the District Council of Veterans Askar Merekov, Chairman of the District Public Council Abdrakhman Kuldüyssenov, Chief Physician of the District Hospital Bakytzhan Nysanbayev, Head of the District Police Department Kazybek Alip, and Head of the District Emergency Situations Department Omirbek Saktabayev. They expressed their best wishes to Zhandos Bekmurzayev.

In turn, Zhandos Serikuly expressed his gratitude to the district leadership, colleagues and residents for their support and warm wishes. He also spoke with particular appreciation about his period of service in Karmakshy District and thanked his colleagues who contributed to the successful results of their joint work.

It should be noted that during the spring and autumn conscription campaigns, the targets assigned to the district were fulfilled by 100 percent, making Karmakshy District one of the top-performing districts in this area.
